Limited Edition of 30, from the Between The Lines Collection
Giclée Print on Hahnemuhle German Etching Paper, 400 x 590mm
The Between The Lines Collection explores the imagined places set within fictional worlds. This scene depicts an interpretation of the family kitchen from Banana Yoshimoto's novel, Kitchen. Committing imagined spaces to lines and filling in the gaps left between the authors’ words is an exercise of personal interpretation, memory, and a confrontation with identity.
“The place I like best in the world is the kitchen. No matter where it is, no matter what kind, if it’s a kitchen, if it’s a place where they make food, it’s fine with me.”
“The conversation we just had was like a glimpse of stars through a chink in a cloudy sky—perhaps, over time, talks like this would lead to love.”
