About Me
Welcome to my book-inspired, food-inspired, nostalgic world of illustrations. I'm Lauren, a London based artist who creates abundantly detailed illustrations and produces giclée archival art prints all from my studio.
I draw from nostalgia and childhood memories; capturing moments surrounded by food, domesticity, and creature comforts. Drawing intricate and detailed interiors to the fullest and most abundant of details allows me to live in and share the imagined worlds akin to the books I read and the video games I played as a child. These inviting scenes are intended to evoke similar memories, and invite others to reminisce about their favourite foods, stories, places, and things.
Between The Lines is a series of artworks where my obsession for drawing intricate and detailed spaces meets my love for literature. The collection is inspired by the everyday spaces one conjures and imagines when reading fictional novels. In my mind, together the paintings form a collective tied together across different fictional worlds.

FAQs
What are giclée prints?
Giclées are high quality, archival prints that are produced with a specialised inkjet printer. Giclée prints are highly regarded as the inks are exceptionally well pigmented, having an almost paint-like quality. They are valued for their longevity and wide colour gamut, making them the golden standard for fine art print collectors.

What is your medium?
My illustrative process is done by hand - I sketch new ideas and compositions with pencil on paper, and then develop and produce illustrations digitally. I compose the general structure of the illustration by drawing outlines first, and then fill in the space by drawing tiny objects and abundant details. The illustration is then filled with colours in large blocks, which determine the main colour palette, then lastly refined with colour detailing, lighting, and shadows.

Will you re-stock prints that are sold out?
I produce many of my pieces as limited edition pieces. Limited edition pieces each have a unique number signed in the corner of the print. This is so that collectors who invest in my work know that they are getting something truly valuable and unique. When a limited edition print is sold out, I won't be able to produce them again!
