Mahjong Carver is a celebration of my Chinese heritage, inspired by childhood memories of my mother and my aunties gathered around the mahjong table during long evenings. Mahjong Carver honours the beauty of the traditional craft of mahjong carving in Hong Kong. I reflect on the nostalgia of being around my family - long hours spent around the table, the sounds of the tiles clacking together, and the smell of green tea and sweet snacks being passed around as laughter echoes happily through the house.
