Before The Coffee Gets Cold
Before The Coffee Gets Cold
Limited Edition of 30, from the Between The Lines Collection
Giclée Print on Hahnemuhle German Etching Paper, 400 x 590mm.
The Between The Lines Collection explores the imagined places set within fictional worlds. This scene depicts an interpretation of the basement café from the novel Before The Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. Committing imagined spaces to lines and filling in the gaps left between the authors’ words is an exercise of personal interpretation, memory, and a confrontation with identity.
"A permanent sepia hue stained the cafe interior."
"It had become famous, with long queues each day, on account of the time-travelling. But it wasn't possible to find anyone who had actually gone back in time, because of the extremely annoying rules that had to be followed."
Pictured is the print in a 500 x 700mm oak frame, not included!
